Great place! Good prices and good food. It is a spectacular value for $32 all you can eat sushi.
Staff was so fun and helpful. Sushi was excellent. Fresh flavorful and made to order. All you can eat is the way to go! We come from kapolei to have dinner here. Call ahead to make sure they have a table. Parking in back is $3 cash in the box or park out front for free.
My boyfriend and I always go to Kats Sushi when I first get back on island! The service is great, and I love how it's BYOB. Unlimited, delicious sushi!!! it's a small place, so make sure you make reservations!
We needed a great place to take our friend out for her birthday and someone recommended Kats. Using the Google reservation feature we were able to secure a table for six at 7pm on a Saturday night. We were told reservations were a must because this place was well known for amazing sushi and an All You Can Eat feature. ($32/ea) Parking was $3 up the ramp and it was a nice sized lot that was well lit and felt safe. There's a small dine in area as well as outdoor tables. As long as it doesn't pour, you're safe outside and it's really nice having sushi under the stars too!! We were lucky because it did rain prior to our arrival time and they were all set drying the area for us and we were seated right on time. I have to say, the service here is amazing. Ashley and the other servers were all fantastic!! It's BYOB so feel free to bring your own drinks. Iced water was provided and never did we have to wait for a refill. Now on to the food!! We all did AYCE and it was well worth it! Chef started us with a starter platter with Unagi, Salmon, Hamachi, Ahi, and Mackerel. I love eel. The Unagi definitely did not disappoint!! All of the fish was fresh and a perfect balance of rice was included with each piece. Chef also sent us out cooked fish from the collar bone. It was so ONO!!! We feasted on handrolls and nigiri to our hearts content. All with barely a wait between rounds. What an awesome experience!! My favorite was the Salmon skin hand rolls and the Unagi nigiri. Yuuum!! Birthday girl is a big Ikura fan and she said the Ikura handrolls were the best she's ever had!!! Even my son enjoyed the Ikura. He loved the tuna hand rolls as well. We all left extremely satisfied and full. Everything was perfect with our alcohol of choice : Kapema Tequila with Hawaiian Chili pepper, Grape Soju and a great bottle of Wandering Poet Sake. 10 out of 10!! We will definitely be back. Mahalo to all the incredible staff.
Best sushi we had on Oahu. This place is very hard to find but please find it if you want the best All You Can Eat you've ever had. Heart and soul go into everything plated..you see and taste it. Our expectations were surpassed. This will be a new tradition every time we're on Oahu.
First off, the service was awesome. Never had to wait for more water or to put out next order in. You could choose up to 5 things each round and once you finished, you could order your next round. Never waited more than 7 minutes before our next round of food was at our table. The food itself was fresh as could be. There was no doubt this was high quality seafood. The tuna was my favorite and melted in my mouth. The vibe was unique. Being family owned gave it a unique feel. Something a chain restaurant can't do. Our AYCE sushi was only $32.99 a person. Can't beat a deal like that!! Highly recommended!!
This is an updated review and Kats holds up over time. I love the cozy vibe of this place. Definitely make reservations in advance. I appreciate the rice to fish ratio, it's well balanced and you don't feel like all you are getting is rice. The menu is simple but tasty, and the rice is cooked well (not mushy-I despise mushy rice). I love that this is a small, locally owned business that I can support. The staff are, while very busy, friendly and helpful. Kats is truly a hidden gem.
Such a hidden gem! Tell your friends but don't tell your friends lol. Was looking for somewhere new to try and remembered this spot was recommended. So happy we stopped in! Called ahead and last seating is at 830pm and we were approaching the time but thank goodness we were nearby as last call for the kitchen is at 930pm. GPS had us a little confused and we parked up the steep driveway as pictured in the Yelp photos, that helped us. However didn't know it was $3, no attendant but at your own risk if you choose no to pay. Once inside, aunty let us know and we moved the car closer out front which worked out since it was late at night. But anyway, oh my gosh! I forgot it was all you can eat sushi and I was 100000000 times happier! The sushi comes out so quick too! My favorite would have to be the spicy unagi hand roll (which I didn't expect) and the salmon skin hand roll. The spicy ahi, spicy salmon, and spicy hamachi for me are all automatic picks. But I loved that the spicy unagi and salmon skin was something different. Also tried 4 out of their top 5 nigiri (ahi, hamachi, tai, salmon - didn't try the unagi). They do have other specials but not sure if that was only for lunch, but who needs anything else when there's all you can eat sushi! It's a smidge tiny inside with counter seats and some tables and chairs but outside there is a huge lanai area. When we came there was a large party living their best life. BYOB and AYCE sushi is a deadly combo! Plus the sushi is made quick even with all that everyone was ordering. Support local and stop in!
